"Spider-Man: Web of Fire" is a classic side-scrolling action-adventure game released in 1996, exclusively for Sega's 32X expansion platform.
Spider-Man: Web of Fire was developed by BlueSky Software and Zono, and published by Sega. It was one of the last games released on the Sega 32X platform. Due to the commercial failure of the platform, the game had a very limited production run, making it a valuable collector's item. The game is set in New York City, where the Hydra organization uses high-tech devices to trap the city in a deadly "Web of Fire". Players need to control Spider-Man and traverse different scenes, including streets, building interiors, and sewers, to fight against Hydra's minions and various famous Marvel villains (such as Shocker, Viper, and the Hydra leader). The game adopts the classic 2D side-scrolling action platformer mode, emphasizing action and platforming elements. In addition to basic attacks and jumping, Spider-Man also has the ability to shoot webs to trap enemies or swing from webs at high places, and can activate a special ability to summon the superhero Daredevil to help clear the screen in critical moments.
Although Spider-Man: Web of Fire is an old-school 2D action game, its level design and resource allocation still require some strategy. This guide will focus on basic operations and resource management.
