Game Details:

Chrono Trigger was created by an industry dream team of Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy), Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), and Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest). The game tells the story of Crono, who is caught in a time travel adventure after an accident. To save the future from destruction, he embarks on a journey with companions from different timelines.

One of the game's greatest features is "time travel," where players travel through prehistory, the Middle Ages, the present, the future, and the post-apocalyptic wasteland. The combat uses the ATB system and introduces mechanics such as "combo techniques" and "positional influence" to add strategy. In terms of the story, it is not only emotionally rich but also supports multiple endings, greatly enhancing replay value.

Editor's Recommendation:

If you are a fan of Japanese RPGs, Chrono Trigger is definitely worth cherishing and playing through multiple times. The game perfectly blends story, character development, and combat strategy, coupled with the time-travel setting, to deliver a unique and immersive experience. It doesn't have lengthy and tedious cutscenes, the pacing is just right, and the characters are distinct and full of twists and turns. Both the main story progression and the side quests are very deep, making it one of the few masterpieces that players can repeatedly savor.

Game Guide:

In the early game, players should first familiarize themselves with the combat system and character abilities. Crono mainly uses physical attacks, Marle uses healing magic, and Lucca is responsible for ranged magic output. After obtaining the Gate, it is recommended to prioritize completing the "Dinosaur Ruins" in prehistory and the "Dome Ruins" in the future to obtain key items and experience.

When facing boss battles, make use of "Dual Techs" and "Triple Techs," such as Crono + Marle's "Ice Sword" and Crono + Frog + Marle's "Triple Attack," which can deal massive damage. Certain enemies have specific weaknesses, such as Magus being less effective against dark-attribute attacks.

In addition, different choices will affect the ending. It is recommended to use "New Game+" mode after completing the game to try different choices and unlock all 13 endings. For example, if Crono is not rescued before defeating Magus, the world will face a different doomsday timeline.

Collecting hidden weapons and items should not be overlooked, such as the "Rainbow Sword" and "Black Armor," which can be obtained through hidden quests. It is recommended to save regularly and keep multiple save slots to avoid accidentally selecting a story branch.
