This game is a classic arcade masterpiece that is "easy to learn, hard to master." Its most captivating feature is its button mashing mechanic: when two opponents enter a grapple, they must rapidly press buttons to fight for the chance to perform a move. The game's pixel art is incredibly expressive, and the wrestlers' moves faithfully recreate classic maneuvers seen on TV, such as the German Suplex and flying body presses.
In WWF WrestleFest, most high-damage moves begin with a grapple. When two characters get close, they will automatically lock up. The speed at which you mash buttons at this point directly determines who gets to perform a move. If you're using an emulator, it's recommended to set up a turbo button; if you're on an original arcade cabinet, you'll need extremely fast hands.
Move Tips: After winning a grapple, pressing "Attack" usually results in a low-damage throw, while pressing "Jump" executes a high-damage suplex or a special move.
Don't attempt a pin when your opponent has plenty of health. You should first wear down their stamina with multiple throws and aerial moves until they get up much slower after being knocked down. This is the best time to use your character's Signature Move, followed by a pin, for the highest chance of success.
In this chaotic mode, avoid staying in the center of the ring.
