Game Details:

Super Volleyball was released by V-System in 1989 and later ported to multiple home console platforms. The game utilizes a side-view perspective that was very rare at the time, perfectly showcasing the dynamic beauty of serving, digging, setting, spiking, and blocking. It includes a World Tour mode where players can select from various national teams and challenge increasingly powerful opponents. Featuring an energetic soundtrack and refined character animations, the game achieves deep tactical gameplay through a simple two-button combination, authentically recreating the tension of the volleyball court.

Game Guide:

The core lies in "hit timing" and "positional judgment."

[Gameplay Analysis]

Controls are divided into the A button (Hit/Spike) and the B button (Jump/Block). When serving, you can perform a normal serve or a powerful jump serve depending on the charge height.

[In-Depth Analysis]

During an attack, observe the height of the setter's pass. Press the A button when the player reaches the peak of their jump as the ball falls to perform a high-speed spike. When the opponent is spiking, controlling two players to press the B button at the net simultaneously will significantly increase the success rate of the block.

[Pro Tips]

Opponents in the later stages have extremely strong defenses. It is recommended to use "back-set quicks" or "time-lag" attacks to disrupt the AI's judgment. Team Intro: National team attributes vary slightly; the USA has strong spiking power, while Japan has a steady defense. Mastering the trajectory of enemy spikes and moving to the landing point in advance is the key to a defensive counter-attack. Note: If you are not directly aligned with the landing point when receiving, it is easy to cause a reception error or an overpass.
