Game Details:

Set in the '80s when skate culture was booming, 720° successfully captured the spirit of street rebellion and pushing the limits. Unlike the linear games of its time, it offered an early prototype of an "open world," allowing players to skate freely through city parks, streets, and obstacles.

The core objective is to score points to earn tickets. Players accumulate points by performing tricks like spins, aerials, and grabs in the Half-pipe. The title "720°" represents the game's ultimate trick—completing two full rotations in the air. Additionally, players can use their prize money to buy better skateboards, helmets, and pads at shops around the city. This gear significantly boosts the character's jump height, speed, and fall resistance, making it essential for tackling the more difficult later stages.

Strategy Guide:

Time Management & Survival:

  • Beware the Killer Bees: The deadliest threat in the game isn't falling—it's the timer. When the countdown ends and the "SKATE OR DIE" warning appears, the Killer Bees will immediately spawn. Don't get greedy for points; you must head to the nearest event entrance immediately. If the swarm catches you, you'll lose a life instantly.
  • Plan Your Route: While skating through the city streets, use the ramps on the map to perform Ollies. This not only adds to your score but also increases your movement speed.

High-Score Techniques:

  • Mastering the Spin: The game's name, 720°, is the key to a high score. When you go airborne in a half-pipe or off a large ramp, rapidly rotate the joystick. Successfully landing a 720-degree spin will earn you a massive bonus, but pay close attention to your landing angle. If you're off, you'll take a nasty fall.
  • Equipment Upgrade Order: It's recommended to first buy a **Board to increase your base movement speed, followed by Shoes** to improve jump height. A higher jump means more air time, allowing you to pull off more rotations.

Event Challenges:

  • The game features four main events: Downhill, Jump, Slalom, and Half-pipe. Newcomers are advised to start with the Half-pipe, as it has a higher margin for error and is the best place to practice spins and quickly accumulate tickets.
