The game was developed by Banpresto and features tightly designed levels filled with a massive barrage of bullets and enemy units. Players can use not only their Beam Rifle for ranged attacks but also their Beam Saber for melee combat. Various power-ups can be collected in the game to increase firepower and speed. As an arcade title, the game has an extremely fast pace that demands good positioning and quick reflexes from the player.
In "SD Gundam: Neo Battling," staying on the move is the first rule of survival. With enemies swarming from all directions, avoid staying in one spot for too long. Prioritize destroying enemy units that fire homing missiles. Against large motherships or bosses, it's recommended to use buildings as cover and employ peek-and-shoot tactics. After picking up a power-up chip, your Beam Rifle will gain a spread shot or increased piercing power; use this to clear out the minions on the field quickly. During boss fights, watch for the boss's warning flash—it signals an upcoming area-of-effect attack. Use your unit's dash ability to dodge it.
