The biggest mistake when playing *Pang* is to shoot blindly. If too many small balloons are on the screen at once, your room to maneuver will be severely restricted. The correct strategy is to focus your fire on eliminating all the smaller balloons that split from a single large one to keep the screen clear. Using ladders to dodge vertically is an advanced technique. After picking up the "grappling hook" power-up, your harpoon can stick to the ceiling for a while, which is very effective for dealing with high-bouncing balloons. It's best to save the time stop power-up for when there are swarms of small balloons, so you can clear the screen in one go.
