Game Details:

In Arkanoid, players control a spaceship called "Vaus" (paddle), bouncing a constantly moving ball with the goal of breaking all the bricks at the top of the screen. The game features various brick types, some of which require multiple hits to eliminate. Along the way, power-ups drop, such as expanding the paddle, firing bullets, multi-ball, and slowing down the ball, enhancing playability and strategy.

Levels gradually increase in difficulty, and as the ball's speed increases, the player's reaction and strategy become especially important. As a representative of early brick-breaking games, Arkanoid not only revived the "Breakout" genre but also inspired numerous subsequent works.

Editor's Recommendation:

If you like classic arcade-style games, then you definitely can't miss Arkanoid. Arkanoid introduces a large number of innovative elements while maintaining the traditional brick-breaking gameplay, making the game not only challenging but also strategic. Especially as the levels progress, the pace gradually accelerates, which greatly exercises the player's reaction and eyesight. Come and challenge your limits to see how far you can get!

Game Guide:

  • Make good use of power-ups: Prioritize getting the extended paddle (E) and laser power-up (L), as these two can greatly improve your clearance efficiency.
  • Control the ball speed: Try to keep the ball speed controllable, especially in the later levels, where a ball that is too fast will leave you in a flurry of activity.
  • Initial guidance: When launching the ball, try to hit towards the corners, which easily creates a "stuck brick" route, hitting multiple bricks at once.
  • Rebound angle technique: The collision angle between the ball and the paddle determines its rebound direction; learn to adjust the ball's path by moving the paddle.
  • Use multi-ball (B) with caution: Although the multi-ball power-up looks flashy, it can easily distract players; it's recommended to pick it up when you're confident.
