Game Details:

This title is widely regarded as a masterpiece of movie-to-game adaptations. Konami cleverly combines side-scrolling action with pseudo-3D chase sequences. Players can use the iconic Pulse Rifle, Flamethrower, and even the powerful 3-Way Missile. The enemy design in the game is incredibly imaginative; in addition to the Facehuggers and adult Xenomorphs from the movies, it also introduces many original mutant variations.

Visually, the game uses a vibrant yet slightly eerie color palette, perfectly capturing the viscous feel of the alien hive and the coldness of the industrial base. The pacing of each level changes rapidly, shifting from on-foot shooting to elevator defense sections, and then to high-speed shooting segments in an armored vehicle, giving players almost no time to breathe. The final confrontation with the Alien Queen, in particular, is incredibly intense and remains a nostalgic childhood memory for countless hardcore gamers.

Strategy Guide:

  • Weapon Prioritization: Weapon drops in the game are crucial. **The Flamethrower is a god-tier weapon for clearing out swarms of Facehuggers on the ground, while the 3-Way Missile** is the safest bet for dealing with Xenomorphs attacking from the ceiling or sides. Remember, picking up a new weapon will replace your current special weapon, so choose carefully before entering a boss battle.
  • Utilize Y-Axis Movement: Most of the Xenomorphs' attacks (especially their lunges) are linear. During combat, don't just move horizontally; use vertical movement to dodge the hitboxes of their attacks. When a Xenomorph appears from the edge of the screen, the safest strategy is to position yourself diagonally above or below it and open fire in advance.
  • Tips for Elevator and Chase Levels: In elevator levels, enemies will swarm from all directions. You should stand back-to-back (in two-player mode) or in the center of the screen, prioritizing the closest enemies. In the armored vehicle chase sequences, your view is restricted, so players need to memorize the spawn points of the Xenomorphs to suppress them with pre-emptive fire.
  • Boss Battle Weak Point Analysis: The heads of most large Xenomorph bosses are their primary weak spots. When facing the final Alien Queen, make good use of the roll to dodge its tail stabs. When it's about to lay eggs or summon minions, that's the best window to unleash your full damage output. If you have missiles at this point, you can quickly deplete its health to trigger the second phase.
