Game Details:

This game features a classic system design: a "main weapon + sub-weapon + bomb" setup. Players can switch and upgrade their weapon systems by picking up different colored power-up orbs, including a focused laser and a wide-area spread shot. Its most notable feature is its visual presentation, which utilizes the advanced hardware technology of its time to create an excellent sense of depth.

The enemy ship designs in the game are rich with industrial aesthetics, ranging from micro-drones to screen-filling supercarriers, creating a powerful visual impact. The level design is meticulous, and while the difficulty curve is steep, the reasonably designed hitbox for the player's ship allows skilled players a great deal of room to maneuver. Among similar titles, its smooth frame rate and rare instances of slowdown have made it a treasured classic for many veteran STG (shoot 'em up) players.

Game Guide:

  • Weapon System Choice: Different colored power-ups in the game correspond to different weapons. Red items typically grant a fan-shaped spread shot, ideal for open areas dense with weaker enemies; blue items provide a high-power, penetrating laser, which is the perfect choice for dealing with mid-sized ships and bosses. It is recommended to anticipate the terrain in the mid-to-late stages of a level and switch to the appropriate attack form in advance.
  • The Effectiveness of Sub-Weapons: In addition to the main cannon, missiles picked up by the player (such as homing or straight-firing missiles) provide crucial fire support. Homing missiles are very effective at clearing out stray enemies in the corners of the screen, significantly reducing the risk of being destroyed by an enemy that slipped through.
  • Strategic Use of Bombs: Bombs aren't just for saving your life. Since deploying a bomb in this game grants the player temporary invincibility, when facing a boss's screen-filling bullet patterns, you can intentionally move close to the boss's weak point and release a bomb, using the invincibility frames to deal point-blank damage and end the fight quickly.
  • Anticipating Enemy Patterns: Most enemies appear in fixed locations. Memorizing the spawn points for each level (especially for enemies that dive in from the sides), positioning yourself in advance, and using suppressive fire are key to clearing higher difficulties. For large bosses, prioritize destroying their side turrets, as this can effectively reduce the coverage of their bullet patterns.
