Game Details:
This game retains the core gameplay of the series: players control a fighter jet navigating through dense enemy fire (barrage) to destroy everything on the screen. Unlike the World War II setting of the previous two games, this installment features modern fighter jets, such as the F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the sci-fi-esque JAS-39. Each aircraft has three main attack methods:
- Normal Shot: Basic attack firepower.
- Charged Shot: A powerful attack released by the player after holding down the firing key, often with tracking or piercing abilities, crucial for dealing with a large number of enemies or high-health Bosses.
- Bomb: A screen-clearing or large-area clearing weapon that not only deals massive damage but also clears the barrage around the player at the moment of release, a crucial means of survival in critical moments.
The biggest feature of the game is its high-density barrage and the "hit point" design that tests the player's reaction speed, as well as unique Boss battles. Bosses usually consist of multiple forms and have complex attack patterns and gorgeous barrages. The game's control feel and exhilarating shooting experience make it a classic for fans of "bullet hell" (Shmup).
Game Guide:
1. Master the position and size of the "Hitbox"
In a bullet hell game like 《Strikers 1945 III》, the entire aircraft is not the hit area. Your aircraft usually only has a very small "hitbox," which is the only area that will be hit by enemy bullets, usually located on a flashing light point in the center of the aircraft.
- Guide Content: When navigating through high-difficulty bullet barrages, your eyes should not be fixed on the entire aircraft, but only on this hitbox. Learn to "graze" and "skim" the bullets, taking advantage of the extremely small hitbox to find gaps between bullets. When you feel danger, you can try small movements to fine-tune the position of the hitbox, rather than moving the entire aircraft drastically.
2. Precisely Utilize "Charged Shots" and "Bombs"
These two special attacks are the core of conquering difficult stages:
- Charged Shot: Is a key mechanism in the series. When firepower is insufficient, charged shots are the best way to clear the screen instantly or deal burst damage to Bosses. Especially in Boss battles, understanding the Boss's attack patterns and weaknesses, and charging safely during the Boss's attack intervals, can greatly improve output efficiency.
- Bombs: Bombs are not only a means of attack but also a means of survival. Do not hesitate to use bombs. When you are surrounded by barrages and cannot find a way out, immediately use bombs to resolve the crisis. Remember, losing a life is usually more disadvantageous than losing a bomb. Ideally, bombs should be used during the Boss's "barrage climax" or "full-screen attack" phases.
3. Weapon Upgrades and Score Strategies
- Weapon Upgrades: Try to maintain maximum firepower. There will be "P" icon props in the game; collecting them can upgrade your main weapon's firepower. Once hit, firepower will drop significantly, so maintaining a mistake-free run is the basis for improving output.
- Scoring Mechanism: This game has a specific scoring mechanism. Destroying certain enemies or specific parts of Bosses will drop coins or props. In the absence of a life-threatening situation, risking getting close to these props to collect them is key to obtaining high scores. Some Psikyo games have a "close-range scoring" mechanism, meaning that getting close to enemies to destroy them or collecting props can get higher scores, and skilled players will use this mechanism to challenge high scores.
4. Tactical Switching for Different Bosses
Each Boss has fixed and complex attack patterns. You need to try multiple times and memorize the Boss's bullet firing order and trajectories. During the interval when the Boss switches from one form to another, it's usually the best time to output and charge. For Bosses that will "charge" or "attack at close range," you need to leave moving space in advance.
