Game Details:

In terms of gameplay mechanics, this title adopted the then-advanced two-person tag team mode. Players can use the Power Gauge to switch characters or launch an Assist Attack at any time during a match, a design that greatly enhances the variability and strategic depth of combat. Character movesets are inspired by a wealth of Wuxia action elements, featuring various melee weapons like sabers, swords, hooks, and whips, and incorporate flashy Super Moves and a combo system. The game features a rich variety of stage settings, from the misty landscapes of Jiangnan to the desolate frontier deserts. Each scene is artistically evocative and, combined with the fluid hit feedback and dynamic close-up shots, perfectly captures the exhilarating thrill of martial arts duels.

Strategy Guide:

Character Pairing Recommendations:

Beginners are recommended to use the "Long Yinfeng" and "Zhuge Xiong" pairing. Long Yinfeng has relatively simple move inputs, strong priority, and is well-balanced. Zhuge Xiong, on the other hand, possesses excellent zoning capabilities and burst damage. The two complement each other well and can handle most opponents.

Power and Tag Mechanics:

The Power Gauge at the bottom of the screen is key to victory. When your character is stuck in combo recovery or under pressure, you can spend meter to call an Assist, effectively interrupting the opponent's rhythm. Conversely, by tagging in another character at the end of a combo (by holding a specific button), you can extend the combo to deal massive burst damage.

Rage Supers:

Rage is accumulated by taking damage or successfully blocking attacks. When the Rage Gauge is full, you can unleash a devastating Potential Super. Note that this game's Supers have high priority, making them ideal for countering an opponent's jump-in attack or punishing a move with long recovery frames.

Aerial Combat and Movement:

Wuxia fighting emphasizes mobility. Use double jumps and aerial moves to effectively evade ranged projectiles. At the same time, learn the combo logic of linking Light Attacks into Heavy Attacks and combine this with each character's special movement abilities (like Dugu Qiubai's forward dash) to make your offense more oppressive.
