Game Details:

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World brings the high-quality production of the SNES launch masterpiece to the GBA screen. The game follows Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach on a vacation to Dinosaur Land, only for the Princess to be kidnapped once again by Bowser. Helped by their adorable dinosaur companion "Yoshi," the brothers set off on a rescue mission. The GBA version features several thoughtful improvements: players can freely switch between Mario and Luigi on the world map at any time; Luigi features his unique "scuttle jump" and lower traction; the game also adds a progress menu to track stage completion, making this massive adventure with 96 exits even better suited for pick-up-and-play handheld gaming.

Game Guide:

Core gameplay revolves around exploring "Cape Feather flight," "Yoshi’s color-coded abilities," and "secret branching paths (96 exits)."

Pro Tips:

For character choice, beginners are recommended to use Luigi, as his high-jump ability makes reaching difficult platforms easier. The most vital power-up in the game is the "Cape Feather." Once obtained, hold the Dash button (B button) to sprint, and after taking flight, rhythmically tap the opposite direction to achieve infinite gliding, potentially flying over entire levels. A Green Yoshi will trigger unique abilities by eating different colored shells (e.g., spitting fire with a Red Shell, growing wings to fly with a Blue Shell, or creating ground-pound shockwaves with a Yellow Shell). In hidden stages, you can also hatch Red, Blue, and Yellow Yoshis that possess these special abilities permanently. To achieve 100% completion with all 96 exits, keep an eye out for hidden "Keys" and "Keyholes" within levels, which unlock new branching paths on the world map (such as the hidden "Star Road" and the high-difficulty "Special World"). During the final boss fight against Bowser in his Koopa Clown Car, wait for him to toss out Mechakoopas; pick them up and throw them upward to hit Bowser as he descends. Repeat this several times to successfully rescue the Princess.
