A fun ROM hack based on Pokémon Black 2, known for its utterly nonsensical dialogue, bizarre character settings, and a plethora of internet memes.
"Pokémon Black 2: Silly Edition" was released around 2014 as an unofficial ROM hack developed by the fan community. The game is still set in the Unova region two years after the events of Black/White, but all dialogue has been rewritten in a goofy style, and the motivations of the villainous Team Plasma have become incredibly absurd. While the plot follows the original's progression, this "subversive" textual reimagining provides a fresh entertainment experience for players familiar with the source material. The developers used this approach to deconstruct serious RPG narratives, filling the game with satire and self-deprecation.
In terms of gameplay, it inherits the polished systems of the NDS-era Black 2, including the season cycle and the Habitat List.
