Final Fantasy V Advance is a classic JRPG remake released by Square Enix for the GBA in 2006.
Released by Square Enix for the Game Boy Advance in October 2006, Final Fantasy V Advance is an enhanced remake of the Super Famicom classic Final Fantasy V. The story follows the young traveler Bartz, Princess Lenna, the pirate Faris, and the amnesiac elder Galuf, brought together by fate to save the world's four crystals—Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth—from the brink of destruction. This GBA version features refined visuals and an updated script translation. Along with the original game's classic Job System, it introduces four brand-new jobs—Gladiator, Cannoneer, Oracle, and Necromancer—as well as a new bonus dungeon, the "Sealed Temple," greatly expanding the game's replayability.
The core of gameplay lies in "Job and Ability combinations." Leveling up a job unlocks abilities that can be equipped across different classes (such as pairing "Dual Wield" with "Rapid Fire"). Battles utilize the classic Active Time Battle (ATB) system.
Recommended Party Setup: Build Bartz along the Ninja/Gladiator path for dual-wielding physical DPS; class Faris as a White Mage/Summoner for healing and AoE damage; and turn Lenna into a Black Mage/Time Mage for crowd control and magical utility.
Smooth mode is recommended for mobile. Changing the player or server restarts the game.
