Game Details:

"Dragon's Fire" inherits the design of "one coin clear" from the typical Psikyo shooting games, with a clear difficulty gradient. The game offers four characters: Knight Qued, Maiden Sonia, Guardian Rob, and Magician Ian. Each character and their respective dragon possess different normal shots, charge shots, and bombs, as well as unique separation magic attacks.

The core mechanic of the game is "Dragon Shot":

  • Players press a specific button (usually the Dragon Shot button) to launch the mounted dragon, which will fly straight forward and attack enemies.
  • At the moment the dragon is launched, the player character gains a powerful melee magic (separation magic), and the performance of normal shots also changes.
  • Defeating enemies with the dragon, especially by hitting the Boss's core with its high damage, can earn a large amount of technical bonus points. During the human-dragon separation, the player's movement speed increases, which helps to dodge the barrage.

This human-dragon separation mechanism makes the game not just about dodging and shooting, but requires strategically managing the separation time and angle, finding the perfect balance between dodging, output, and scoring, greatly enhancing the game's depth and replay value.

Game Strategy:

The key to high scores in "Dragon's Fire" lies in skillfully using the "human-dragon separation" mechanism and aiming for the Boss's core to get technical bonuses.

1. Basic Survival and Application of Human-Dragon Separation:

  • Concentrated Firepower and Scatter Shots: In the mounted state, the player's normal shots are the main means of clearing enemies and outputting damage. Holding down the shot button can activate a charged magic shot, which has higher damage and penetration power, used to deal with elite monsters and reduce the Boss's health before the battle.
  • Dragon Shot Timing: "Dragon Shot" is the key to high scores. Do not launch the dragon at will; the best times are:
    • Clearing the Screen to Earn Points: When facing a line or group of enemies with thick health that can provide high-scoring items, launch the dragon to annihilate them in one shot to get a score multiplier.
    • Boss Core Attack: In Boss battles, aim for the Boss's core (usually the center or flashing part) and launch the dragon. The dragon touching the core will immediately deal high damage and trigger a technical bonus. Precisely launching the dragon in the gaps of the Boss's dense barrage is the key to quick kills and high scores.
  • Separation State Positioning: After the human-dragon separation, the character's movement speed increases, and the bullet volume becomes smaller. Use this time to move more flexibly, dodge dense barrages, and use the unique magic attacks of the separation state for output.

2. Aiming for the Boss Core to Get Technical Bonuses:

  • Bonus Mechanism: When the dragon shot successfully hits the Boss's core (usually a red judgment point), a huge "technical bonus" is awarded. This score will increase as the game progresses and is the main way to widen the score gap.
  • Operation Process: In Boss battles, observe the timing when the Boss's core is exposed. In the gaps of the Boss's barrage, adjust your position in advance to ensure your dragon shot hits the core straight. Since the dragon flies in a straight line after being launched, players need extremely high predictive ability and shooting accuracy.
  • Character Recommendation: Qued's (red machine) separation magic is the powerful Holy Lance, and with his own bullet trajectory, it's relatively easier to perform high-score operations in Boss battles. For players challenging for the first time, you can first try to familiarize yourself with Rob (green machine), whose magic is relatively easy to control and has strong survivability.

3. Strategic Use of Bombs:

Bombs in the game have the effects of clearing the screen and invincibility. In addition to saving lives, they can also be used when large enemy aircraft appear to quickly clear the screen and maintain unbroken combos. Reasonably using bombs to maintain combos in key parts of the level is also part of the high-score strategy.
