Game Details:

"Denjin Makai" was officially released into the arcade market by Banpresto in 1994. The game is set in the year 2079 in the futuristic metropolis of "Far East City," where society is under the total surveillance of the "Control Body" supercomputer. However, a criminal organization called "Ghost" has risen in the shadows, utilizing technical means to evade surveillance and wreak havoc. Players take on the roles of elite members of the "Ghost Chaser" special police force, engaging in a final battle to eliminate this massive threat. This title blends rich sci-fi and fantasy elements with exquisite pixel art and a level of mechanical depth rivaling fighting games, making it one of the hardcore masterpieces in the history of the beat 'em up genre.

Game Guide:

The core gameplay lies in the management of the "Power Meter" and high-freedom motion-input combos.

Pro Tips & Strategy:

Unlike standard beat 'em ups, performing a health-consuming desperation move (A+B) while the Power Meter is full will not cost any health; thus, maintaining the Power Meter cycle is the key to victory. The game features six characters; for your main, we recommend the balanced protagonist "Makai" or the agile female character "Iyo." The basic combo is a standard four-hit string, but the most practical sequence involves following the first two hits of a basic attack with a dash (Forward, Forward) or a specific special move command (e.g., Makai's Down-Forward + A) to perform infinite juggles. When facing powerful mid-to-late game bosses (such as the Stage 4 cyborg), avoid trading hits on the same horizontal line. Instead, utilize Y-axis positioning, use "Back Throws" or follow-up attacks from a grab to knock them down, and then use charged attacks for okizeme (pressuring as they stand up) to clear the game efficiently.
