Game Details:

"B-Wings" was first released on arcade platforms in 1984, and later ported to the Famicom (FC). The game's biggest feature is the ability to install different types of "wing" weapons, such as Wide Cannon, Ground Cannon, Fire Cannon, and Hammer Cannon, etc. Each weapon has unique effects and can be freely switched, bringing rich tactical changes. The game has more than 30 levels, covering a variety of enemies and terrains, and the levels become more challenging later on. The FC version also adds exclusive content not found in the arcade version.

Editor's Recommendation:

Players who like old-school shooting games should definitely not miss "B-Wings". Its "wing-switching" system pioneered the way, allowing players to experience strategic fun in shooting games. The rich weapon selection and the gradually increasing level difficulty make the game both entertaining and challenging. Combined with the classic pixelated graphics and dynamic music, it takes you back to the glorious era of 80s FC games.

Game Walkthrough:

  • Try different wings: Try as many different weapon wings as possible at the beginning to find the combination that best suits your style. Some are suitable for fighting bosses, and some are suitable for clearing out minions.
  • Pay attention to wing weaknesses: The wings will be damaged first under enemy attacks, beware of attacks that cannot be dodged in narrow spaces.
  • Pick up items reasonably: Do not rashly change wings when enemies are dense, choose a safe time to pick up items.
  • Dealing with ground enemies: Some enemies can only be hit with specific weapons, such as ground cannons or hammer cannons.
  • Remember enemy attack patterns: Most enemies and mechanisms in the game have fixed patterns, remembering them can effectively avoid damage.
  • Save powerful weapons: Use basic weapons in the early stages, and powerful weapons (such as fire cannons and power cannons) should be reserved for boss battles or difficult levels.
