Game Details:

Developed by Nintendo R&D1, WarioWare tells the story of the greedy Wario, who decides to start a game company called "WarioWare, Inc." in Diamond City after seeing news about the massive profits in the gaming industry. He recruits a group of eccentric friends (such as the disco-loving Jimmy T. and the hardcore gamer 9-Volt) to develop games. The title features over 200 minimalist yet highly creative "Microgames," each lasting only 3 to 5 seconds. With an art style that blends retro pixels, real-life photos, and sketches, its zany humor has taken the world by storm, making it one of Nintendo's most iconic and creative IPs.

Game Guide:

The core gameplay revolves around "instant comprehension" and "rapid-fire reactions."

Pro Tips:

One second before each microgame starts, a core verb prompt (such as "Dodge!", "Jump!", "Suck!", or "Slice!") appears in the center of the screen; players must instantly connect the prompt with the visual scene. Controls are extremely simplified, usually requiring only the D-Pad and the A button. As you progress through the levels, the background music's BPM will speed up, leaving less time for players to react, which necessitates the development of muscle memory. It is recommended to prioritize 9-Volt's "Nintendo Classics" stages, as they pay homage to vintage titles like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, making the rules relatively easy to grasp. Every character's final stage is a time-limit-free "Boss Stage" (such as a classic block-breaker or a side-scrolling shooter). Stay calm and avoid frantic button-mashing; clearing a Boss Stage will unlock the next character and more hidden, wacky toys.
