Game Details:

This title greatly improves upon the control scheme of the original. The most significant change is the addition of a control cursor above the player's head, allowing players to more clearly identify who they are currently controlling. The game is divided into six continental regions, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. After selecting a team, players must first compete in regional finals before entering the knockout stage, which simulates the main World Cup tournament. The game includes many expressive close-up shots, such as goal celebrations, yellow card warnings, and even scenes of injured players being carried off the field on a stretcher. Additionally, the game introduces a "Chance" shooting system. When a player dribbles into a specific area, the camera shifts to a behind-the-goalkeeper perspective, enhancing the sense of immersion and the strategic fun of shooting.

Game Guide:

Effective Scoring Methods:

When on the attack, try to use crosses from the byline to find a teammate in the penalty box. When the ball is in the air, press the shoot button based on its landing spot to trigger a powerful diving header or a bicycle kick. Furthermore, this game's "Ace Shot" is key to scoring from long range. When the word "Chance" appears on screen, immediately press the shoot button and use the analog stick to aim the crosshair at the corners of the goal.

Ball Control & Dribbling:

The game is very physical, so frequent passing is more effective than just dribbling long distances. Use short passing combinations (A button) to pull the opponent's defensive line apart and look for long shot opportunities from the top of the box.

Defensive Strategy:

The slide tackle (A button) is your main defensive tool, but be careful of the referee's calls. Near the penalty box, try to avoid tackling from behind to prevent giving away a penalty or getting a red card. It's recommended to use a standing tackle (B button) to press closely or to block passing lanes with your positioning.

Penalty Shootout:

If the game goes to a penalty shootout after a draw, it all comes down to mind games. As the shooter, watch for the goalkeeper's subtle movements before picking your spot; as the goalkeeper, you need to press a direction at the very moment the opponent strikes the ball to make a diving save.
