Game Details:

Power Drift was officially released by SEGA in 1988. Utilizing the advanced "Sprite Shifting" technology of its time, the game achieved a stunning sense of 3D depth through the rapid scaling of numerous 2D bitmaps. Set across rugged terrains worldwide, the track designs are roller-coaster-like, featuring exaggerated elevation changes and sharp turns. Players can choose from 12 eccentric drivers and race all-terrain buggies across 25 challenging tracks over 5 circuits, experiencing the thrill of high-speed drifting through clouds and dense forests.

Game Guide:

The core gameplay centers on mastering high/low gear shifts and timing your drifts.

The game features five main circuits (A through E), with each circuit consisting of 5 tracks.

Pro Tips:

Due to the constant elevation changes and frequent sharp turns exceeding 90 degrees, blindly flooring the accelerator will easily cause you to fly off the track. Before entering a wide-angle turn, you must release the accelerator early and quickly downshift to "Low" (L). Direct the steering to cut into the inside lane, and once the vehicle is straightened out, shift back to "High" (H) and accelerate out of the corner. Character selection has no impact on stats and is purely an aesthetic choice. During races, try to avoid side collisions with AI opponents, as this often leads to losing control or flipping over. Finish in the top three to advance to the next stage. Completing an entire circuit without mistakes will unlock hidden cameos from classic SEGA fighter jets.
