Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a hardcore fighting game released by Midway for the GBA in 2002.
*Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance* was released by Midway in November 2002 on platforms including the Game Boy Advance. The plot revolves around the two evil sorcerers, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, forming the "Deadly Alliance" in an attempt to resurrect an ancient overlord's army. Earthrealm's protector, Raiden, rallies the champions to mount a counteroffensive. Overcoming handheld hardware limitations, this portable edition retains the real-time stance switching between each character's fighting styles and weapon, as well as the franchise's signature Fatalities.
The core gameplay centers on fluidly switching between three fighting styles (two hand-to-hand styles + one weapon style); pressing the L button mid-fight quickly alters your move properties and attack reach.
Classic fighter Scorpion boasts devastating mid-to-close-range pressure: his Spear pull is executed with Back, Back, Low Punch (←←LP), and his sliding dash is Back, Forward, Low Kick (←→LK). Sub-Zero's Freeze blast is Down, Forward, Low Punch (↓→LP), which can be chained into weapon combos for massive damage.
At the start of a round, it is recommended to zone enemy AI with ranged projectiles, then punish the opponent with a crouching High Punch (↓+HP) for high-damage anti-air priority whenever they jump or dash in. After defeating the final bosses, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, you will earn a substantial amount of Koins to unlock hidden characters and concept art galleries in The Krypt.
Smooth mode is recommended for mobile. Changing the player or server restarts the game.
