《Eltale Monsters》is a monster-collecting and card strategy game deeply influenced by classic JRPGs.
In the world of "Eltale Monsters," players take on the role of a monster trainer, aiming to become the strongest monster master. The game boasts a vast monster compendium, with each monster possessing unique attributes, skills, and evolutionary potential. Its biggest feature lies in the battle system: players don't use the monsters themselves in battle, but rather "skill cards" generated from monster skills. Each turn, the system randomly draws cards from your team's skill library, and you need to devise tactics based on the current battle situation, utilizing the effects of attack, defense, support, skill chains, and other card effects. In addition, the game also includes rich content such as the main story, arena battles, and guild activities. Players need to constantly optimize their deck (i.e., team skill configuration) to meet various challenges.
This game is recommended to those who enjoy monster collection like "Pokemon" and are also obsessed with card strategy games like "Slay the Spire." It cleverly blends the essence of both: collecting and nurturing monsters brings a sense of growth and nostalgia, while the card-driven battles provide endless strategic depth and variability. You no longer need to fret over speed lines; instead, you need to think about card combinations and resource allocation, with each draw filled with suspense. Although the game's graphics may not be top-notch, its innovative gameplay and rich monster designs are enough to immerse you for dozens of hours. If you're looking for a less "mindless" and thought-provoking collection RPG, this game will be a surprise.
In "Eltale Monsters," the key to victory lies not in how many rare monsters you have, but in how you combine their abilities into a synergistic and efficient "skill deck." First, understand the card types. Basic cards are divided into attack cards (deal damage), skill cards (add special effects such as poison, stun), defense cards (block damage), and energy cards (provide extra action points). A balanced deck is the cornerstone of victory.
When building your deck, follow the principle of "core strategy." Don't simply stuff it with high-cost (high action point consumption) powerful cards, or you'll end up with a clogged hand. For example, you can build a deck around the "poison" effect: choose monsters that can generate "apply poison" cards, then pair them with "poison explosion" cards that deal extra damage based on the number of poison stacks, and add enough low-cost defense and draw cards to ensure survival and cycling. This is a clear strategy.
Secondly, pay attention to the monster attribute combinations. The game has attribute-based elemental weaknesses, and a full-fire attribute deck will struggle against water-attribute enemies. Therefore, your team (i.e., your total card pool) should ideally include 2-3 different attributes of monsters to ensure your deck can handle most situations. Adjusting the monsters you send into battle based on the enemy's attributes before challenging a specific stage is a must.
Finally, control the deck thickness reasonably. Your deck is not better the thicker it is. The thinner your deck, the higher your chances of drawing key cards, and the faster your strategy can be initiated. Try to remove or replace those mediocre cards that are unrelated to your core strategy. Through constant practical testing and adjustments, you will gradually master how to create a powerful deck that draws smoothly and is both offensive and defensive, thus becoming invincible in the world of Eltale.
