Game Details:

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors was co-developed by Banpresto and Cavia, and published by Banpresto for the GBA in March 2004. This title pushes the aerial combat of Dragon Ball Z to its limits, breaking free from the constraints of traditional ground-based fighting. Players can freely fly and duel across an all-encompassing 3D aerial battlefield. In addition to faithfully recreating main storylines like the Cell Saga and Majin Buu Saga, the game's biggest highlight is the creatively designed "What-If" scenarios for every character (e.g., Krillin becoming the strongest warrior). Featuring multi-stage transformations and a unique 3v3 team-based system, it stands as one of the most iconic Dragon Ball fighting games on the GBA.

Game Guide:

Basic Moves & Ki Control:

Hold the L button to charge Ki, and press R for high-altitude dashes; press A for light melee attacks or B for Ki blasts. The A+B combination releases high-power Special Moves. When Ki reaches 100%, pressing A+B at close range triggers a visually stunning Ultimate Move (such as Goku's Super Spirit Bomb).

Tactical Maneuvering & Aerial Control:

Use the R button for quick dashes to close or extend the gap. When an enemy fires a long-range special, a well-timed R-dash can provide a damage-free dodge. During melee exchanges, press Down+A to slam the enemy into the ground, causing a brief stagger.

Team Building & Transformation Mechanics:

Before battle, you can select up to 3 characters (or different power levels of the same character). Press L+R during combat to swap teammates freely; master the tag-in invincibility frames to dodge lethal damage. Utilizing transformations (such as Super Saiyan) for characters like Goku and Vegeta instantly and significantly boosts attack and defense stats. Combined with a rotating tag-team strategy, you can easily defeat high-difficulty bosses in What-If mode.
