Game Details:

This game features a unique dual-layer platform design, allowing players to freely jump and move between the upper and lower levels. This sense of spatial depth was very advanced for side-scrolling action games of its time. In addition to basic punches and kicks, players can also hold down the attack button to unleash an "Energy Blast (Charged Punch)" for area-of-effect damage. The enemy variety is rich, ranging from common blue grunt ninjas to fire-breathing red ninjas, and culminating in intimidating end-of-level bosses. Each level tests the player's reflexes and timing. Its rugged, hard-boiled American art style and dynamic 8-bit soundtrack perfectly recreate the high-octane atmosphere of 80s action movies.

Game Guide:

  • Timing the Charged Punch: The Charged Punch is the core powerhouse move in this game, with an extremely wide hitbox and very high damage. When grunts appear in groups, start holding the attack button in advance and release it decisively as they get close. Note that while you can move during the charge, you cannot block or perform quick combos, so make sure no assassin ninjas are sneaking up behind you.
  • Tactical Jumping on Dual-Layer Platforms: Don't stay on the same platform level for too long. When you're surrounded by many ninjas or there are rolling traps on the ground, quickly jumping to the upper level can help you evade most attacks. In the truck level, switching between the upper and lower levels can effectively distract the boss, creating opportunities to attack from the flank.
  • Weapon Pickup Priority: Daggers and nunchaku will appear in the game. While the dagger is a powerful one-time throw or melee weapon, the nunchaku boasts a longer attack range and an extremely fast swing speed. After picking up the nunchaku, players can achieve "close-range invincibility" by rapidly tapping the attack button to form a defensive screen. This is the best way to deal with the red ninjas in later stages.
  • Tips for the Fire-Breathing Boss: The fire-breathing ninja boss in the first level will block off the ground path. The key to beating it is to maintain your distance, bait out its fire breath, and then use a jump attack (diagonal jump kick) to close in on its side. If you get cornered, immediately use a reverse jump to escape. Remember not to get greedy with your attacks.
