Game Details:

As the final installment of Konami's "action trilogy" (preceded by Crime Fighters and Sunset Riders), this game excels in its attention to detail. It supports three-player simultaneous play, with the three protagonists representing balanced, power, and speed types, each possessing unique special moves. Most impressive are its highly distinctive enemy designs and American comic book-style boss battles. The numerous destructible objects and quirky background details (like enemies getting swollen faces when hit) fill the game with a sense of humor. Additionally, the game's high-energy vocal soundtrack makes every battle feel like you're at a frantic rock concert.

Game Guide:

  • Utilize the "Dash Attack": Unlike in other beat 'em ups, the Dash Attack in this game (double-tap a direction, then press attack) has a very large and aggressive hitbox. Using it to quickly close in on enemy groups or escape from being surrounded is fundamental to survival.
  • Master Grabs and Downed Attacks: When an enemy is stunned, get close to perform a grab. While grabbing, you can not only execute a high-damage back throw but also gain temporary invincibility. Additionally, when an enemy is knocked down, stand over them and press the attack button to perform a "stomp" follow-up, an effective way to quickly eliminate elite enemies.
  • Dealing with Enemy "Blocks": Mid to late-game enemies will frequently block your attacks. When this happens, don't just keep punching; instead, try repositioning for a grab or use a dive kick (Jump + Down + Attack) to break their guard.
  • The Rhythm of Boss Fights: Most bosses have fixed attack start-up animations. It's best to avoid trading blows with them on the screen's central axis. Instead, use vertical movement (up and down) to dodge their heavy attacks, then immediately follow up with a combo. If a boss corners you, don't hesitate to use your health-consuming "panic move" (press A+B together) to clear the screen—don't be stingy with that little bit of health.
