Game Details:

Will embarks on a journey across the Farland continent to confront the Randall Empire's threat with the legendary Six Divine Beasts. He captures over 180 different types of "Vaitz" monsters with various attributes through battles, utilizing crystals to seal them and occupy team positions. Two monsters with reflective genes can also fuse to create stronger hybrids. In addition to the main storyline, there are arena battles, various special battle modes (one-on-one, team battles, time trials), and a flying shooting mini-game, allowing players to experience diverse gameplay while exploring towns and mazes.

Editor's Recommendation:

As an early monster-collecting RPG on WonderSwan, "Vaitz Blade" is definitely worth a try. It combines rich tactical turn-based combat with a monster collection and nurturing system, offering extreme freedom with 180+ monsters and a fusion mechanism; the arena and shooting mini-games add to the game's fun. Although only supporting Japanese, its core mechanics are intuitive, with decent visuals and sound effects, and a classic 2D anime style. For nostalgic players and monster genre enthusiasts, it is a rare masterpiece from the handheld era.

Game Guide:

① Monster Capture Tips

  • The success rate of sealing the target monster with Vaitz crystals is higher after reducing its HP to a low point in each battle;
  • Monsters with different attributes appear in different areas, and capture targets should be selected based on main storyline requirements.

② Monster Fusion Mechanism

  • Two monsters with the same "reflective" gene can be fused at the base to form a stronger "hybrid monster";
  • It is recommended to save multiple low-level monsters with the same attribute early on for preparation for later-stage fusion.

③ Arena and Special Battles

  • The arena mode, including one-on-one, doubles battles, and time trials, is unlocked after completing certain storylines;
  • Winning special battle modes can directly obtain rare resources and Vaitz resource points.

④ Resource Management and Growth Path

  • Collect battle points and resources to upgrade Vaitz levels and skills;
  • Reasonably distribute experience and items to avoid a large gap in strength between main and reserve monsters.

⑤ Map Exploration and Mini-games

  • Flying shooting mini-games will be randomly triggered when entering mazes and towns, and additional rewards can be earned after proficiency;
  • The exploration order of towns affects the subsequent monster appearance. It is recommended to explore new areas first.

⑥ Saving and Leveling Up Suggestions

  • The game only has a small number of save points. It is recommended that emulator players manually create multiple saves at major storyline nodes and before and after arena challenges;
  • Leveling up mid-game and participating in the arena helps to quickly obtain resources and growth motivation.
