Game Details:

When it was released, "Super Burnout" was considered one of the most eye-catching racing games on the Atari Jaguar console. It featured advanced 3D polygon graphics at the time, delivering excellent rendering of motorcycle models and track environments, providing players with a smooth and speed-filled visual experience. The game offered a variety of different tracks, covering diverse environments such as city streets, desert roads, and mountain trails. The core gameplay is typical arcade racing: players must pass checkpoints within a limited time, otherwise the game ends. In addition, the game's biggest feature is its intense collision system, where collisions between motorcycles and high-speed losses of control are extremely challenging, requiring players to precisely control the balance of the vehicle. The game also includes a multiplayer split-screen battle mode, increasing the game's replayability and interactivity.

Game Guide:

1. Maintain a Perfect Turning Angle:

  • Before entering any bend, briefly release the throttle (or lightly press the brake, but as little as possible) and position the front of the motorcycle as close as possible to the outer side of the bend.
  • At the midpoint of the bend, keep the motorcycle body tightly against the inner side and start to slightly accelerate the throttle.
  • When exiting the bend, accelerate fully and rush out along the outer edge of the bend to gain maximum speed for the next straightaway. Remember, a smooth S-shaped route is more efficient than sudden braking and turning.

2. Master the Skill of Overtaking Opponents:

  • AI opponents often maintain fixed speeds and routes in specific sections. Don't try to line up alongside them in bends, as this is extremely prone to collisions.
  • The best time to overtake is on a straightaway or wide, gentle bend. When overtaking, stay in the opponent's outer lane or inner lane and keep a distance of at least one lane away to prevent them from adjusting their route. Once a side collision occurs, the player's motorcycle will instantly lose control, causing significant losses.

3. Utilize Track Unevenness and Obstacles:

  • On some tracks, such as "Alps" (presumably a track name), there will be unevenness or jump points. When jumping, don't perform any steering operations to maintain the stability of the vehicle.
  • Pay attention to the obstacles at the edge of the track, especially street lamps, guardrails, and road shoulders, which are invisible "speed traps". Avoid contact with the road shoulders, otherwise the speed will drop significantly.

4. Time Management at Checkpoints:

  • The game's time limit is very strict. In the first half of the track, focus on maintaining a high average speed and don't deliberately pursue a perfect lap record. Instead, ensure that there is enough safe time remaining when passing each checkpoint. If the remaining time is less than 10 seconds, you need to immediately increase your aggressive driving, but still on the premise of "not crashing".
