Game Details:

From its inception, this title gained notoriety for its bold, visceral experience. The player-controlled character, Rick, is far from a traditional hero, coming across more like a brutish, powerhouse destroyer. The game's environments are filled with grotesque monsters, deadly traps, and twisted abominations, all set to a low, oppressive soundtrack that creates an exceptional sense of immersive psychological horror. The action feedback is incredibly solid; whether you're throwing a heavy punch or using various makeshift weapons like wooden planks and meat cleavers, you can feel the bone-crunching impact of every hit. The level design is punishing, putting players' memorization skills and reflexes to the ultimate test.

Walkthrough:

  • Maximize Your Attack Range: Rick's fists have a limited range. When facing groups of minions (like Slimes or Zombies), try to attack from a safe distance. If you find weapons like wooden planks, meat cleavers, or shotguns, use them wisely, as they offer a better attack range or instant crowd-control capabilities.
  • The Slide Attack: You can perform a slide attack by pressing attack and jump (or a specific key combination) while running. This is the game's most essential move. It not only allows you to quickly pass under low traps but also deals multi-hit damage to enemies in front of you, making it an indispensable skill for dealing with foes that use low attacks.
  • Beware of Environmental Hazards: The mansion is filled with spike beds, dripping corrosive acid, and blades that shoot out from the walls. Often, the environment will inflict far more damage than the monsters themselves. When entering a new room, it's best to proceed slowly and observe any changes on the floor and ceiling.
  • Memorize Boss Patterns: Every boss in the game follows a highly predictable pattern. For example, with the first-level's Flesh-beast Boss, you just need to master the rhythm of its jumps and land a heavy attack during its recovery frames after it lands. Remember not to get greedy with your attacks, as most bosses will trigger an enraged counterattack after taking a certain amount of damage.
  • Resource Management & Healing: Healing items in this game are extremely scarce. When facing tough minions, prioritize using crouch attacks or heavy jump attacks to reduce the chance of being counter-attacked. Entering a boss room with high health is the only way to guarantee you'll clear the stage.
