Game Details:

This title was released by Toaplan in 1994. Compared to its predecessor, its art style leans more towards the quirky cartoon aesthetic of the mid-90s. The four protagonists—Nick (Snow), Bobby (Lightning), Roy (Water), and Richard (Wind)—each have the ability to turn enemies into snowballs, thunderballs, waterballs, and whirlwind balls, respectively. The game features a total of six main stages, each culminating in a battle against a large boss with complex attack patterns. In addition to standard platforming combat, the game also includes abundant hidden bonus items and unique cutscenes. It supports up to four players simultaneously, greatly enhancing the fun for party play.

Game Guide:

  • Character Selection:
    • Snowman (Nick): A balanced character with a stable ball trajectory.
    • Lightning Spirit (Bobby): Has a fast attack speed. His thunderballs bounce at angles, making him ideal for clearing enemies on scattered platforms.
    • Water Spirit (Roy): Features a wide attack range. His waterballs can travel further along the ground.
    • Wind Spirit (Richard): Possesses the strongest vertical control; his whirlwind balls can drift upwards.
  • "All-Clear" Bonus: Try to trap multiple enemies in a single ball or use one ball to hit all enemies in its path. If you clear all minions on the screen at once, golden bonus banknotes will drop. This is key to achieving a high score.
  • Power-up Potion Priority: Red Potion (increases movement speed), Blue Potion (increases shot power), and Yellow Potion (increases shot range). Prioritize the Red Potion; agile movement is fundamental for survival.
  • Boss Battle Tips: During all boss fights, minions will continuously respawn. Don't rush to attack the boss directly. Instead, turn the respawning minions into balls and roll them into the boss. This method deals far more damage than your direct shots.
  • Hidden Bonus: Before the stage-clear screen appears, if you can quickly collect all the remaining letter items on the screen to spell "EXTRA," you will be awarded an extra life.
