Game Details:

In Gururin, the game screen is filled with colorful cartoon characters, and the overall style is lively and lighthearted. At the start of each level, a group of three characters will fall from the top of the screen. Players can not only move these groups left and right but, more importantly, can press a button to rotate them 90 degrees. When the characters land, if the clearing condition is met, they will disappear in a puff of smoke, and the characters above will fall due to gravity, making it possible to create chain reactions.

In addition to the basic single-player mode, the game also supports a highly competitive versus mode. In versus mode, clearing a large number of characters at once or achieving a combo will send obstacles to your opponent's screen, increasing their stacking pressure. As the levels progress, the drop speed will gradually increase, truly testing the player's quick observation and spatial reasoning skills.

Game Guide:

Basic Controls & Advanced Techniques

The game's controls are very intuitive, but mastering it requires understanding "anticipatory rotation."

  • Rotation Priority: Many players get into the habit of aligning the characters after they've landed, but for expert players, predicting the rotation while the characters are falling is key. Using the descent time to rotate the target color to the bottom can effectively prevent messing up your board from a misplacement.
  • Utilizing Gravity Chains: Try not to focus only on the current three-character group. Attempt to set up the bottom layer so that after the first group of colors disappears, the characters suspended above fall perfectly onto another group of the same color. This "multi-layer chain" is the core method for getting high scores and defeating the AI in versus mode.

Versus Mode Strategy

  • Comeback Mechanic: In versus mode, when your screen is about to fill up, don't panic. Focus on finding opportunities to create a combo. A successful 5-chain clear or a multi-chain reaction can clear more than half your screen and deal a devastating blow to your opponent.
  • Piece Properties: Observe the color distribution of the falling characters; there is usually a dominant color. Prioritize clearing out messy small groups to make space for large-scale clusters of the same color.
