Game Details:

Top-down 2D sprites cover towns and dungeons. Towns are explored via menus, and dungeon levels are not random, but carefully designed; a team of up to 3 people can engage in turn-based combat. The "visible enemy actions" and the class growth system from the original are retained in this game, and it allows saving at any time within the maze, which is very suitable for handheld experience.

Editor's Recommendation:

As a port of the Dreamcast original "Evolution", "Eternal Dungeon" is a must-have choice for handheld RPG enthusiasts. Although the graphics and text are reduced, character growth, device collection, turn-based strategy, and Cy‑Frame equipment mechanism are also outstanding. With rich missions and careful dungeon design, it is a must-play portable masterpiece for players who are nostalgic or want to try old-school dungeon RPGs.

Game Guide:

1. Team Composition and Development

  • The protagonist "Mag" is suitable as a team tank, paired with warrior and healer/support characters to build a balanced team;
  • Cy‑Frame equipment is enhanced after obtaining materials through combat, prioritizing defense and critical hit output.

2. Dungeon Exploration Skills

  • Dungeons are preset levels, with hidden treasure chests on each floor and visible enemy actions. It is recommended to proceed slowly to avoid unexpected encounters;
  • Save points are available everywhere, and saving in advance can reduce progress loss due to defeat.

3. Combat Rhythm and Resource Management

  • Turn-based menu operations are convenient for thinking. Saving actions each turn can fine-tune strategies according to the enemy situation;
  • Balance the refinement of loot and Cy‑Frame upgrades to avoid wasting resources.

4. Missions and Story Progression

  • Accept town missions before entering the dungeon. Completing missions can earn extra equipment and upgrade materials;
  • Some key missions require going deep into specific dungeon levels. It is recommended to complete the main story missions first.

5. Saving and Progress Protection

  • This game supports saving at any time within the dungeon. It is highly recommended to manually save before entering key battles and picking up items;
  • Emulator players can use multiple save slots to prevent misoperations.
