Game Details:

In the arcades of its time, this game stood out for its detailed 2D pixel graphics and smooth, responsive handling. The game was officially licensed by Mille Miglia and featured many legendary cars, including the Ferrari 250 GTO, Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, and Alfa Romeo 8C. Players start from Brescia, race through Rome, and then return, pushing their speed to the limit across 12 timed stages. The game not only tests driving skills but also adds a significant strategic layer with its complex terrain changes (like slippery rainy roads and narrow mountain turns) and various random obstacles. Its unique "Evolution Model" even introduced over-the-top action elements like jumps.

Game Guide:

Cornering and Drifting Rhythm:

The game uses a top-down perspective. When entering a turn, it's recommended to ease off the gas slightly ahead of time and tap the brakes to cut to the inside line. Go full throttle as soon as your car is pointed toward the corner exit. Maintaining a smooth, continuous drift not only preserves your speed but also shaves precious time off your corners.

Car Selection Strategy:

  • Balanced: The Ferrari 250 GTO is recommended. Its acceleration and handling are very well-balanced, making it ideal for beginners.
  • Speed: The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR boasts an extremely high top speed on straights, but it demands exceptional control on the winding roads of the Rome stages.
  • Agile: The Porsche 550A is lightweight and excels in series of hairpin turns.

Dealing with Environmental Factors:

You will encounter weather changes during the race. On rainy days, road grip is significantly reduced and braking distances increase. Avoid aggressive, wide-angle drifts and instead adopt a more stable "slow in, fast out" approach.

Time Extension:

Remaining time at the end of a stage partially carries over to the next. Therefore, on the easier, straight roads of the early stages, you must push hard to bank as much time as possible, leaving yourself a margin for error for the more difficult terrain later on.
