Game Details:

"Thunder & Lightning" combines the classic "Arkanoid" type with character elements, operating Mr. Chin to move left and right at the bottom of the screen, bouncing the ball to hit the bricks above. Hitting special vehicles can obtain various props, such as gloves that can catch the ball, extend the paddle, launch missiles, super-large balls, multi-ball split, and slow down. The biggest feature of the game is that "bad characters" (sea anemones, octopuses, turtles, birds, Thor warriors, etc.) will interfere with the ball's trajectory, making the game more challenging and fun. There are a total of 30 levels in the game, with no continue count set. Players only have three initial lives, and the mistakes are strict. The dense bricks and level design in the later stages test the stability of the operation.

Editor's Recommendation:

If you love arcade-style action casual games and want to experience fresh elements on the basis of brick-breaking, this "Thunder & Lightning" is definitely worth a try. It not only retains the exhilarating feeling of Arkanoid, but also adds character interaction, prop differences, and a two-player battle mode, making each experience unique. Coupled with the destructive interference of bad characters, it will also bring new challenges to those who are familiar with the game, making it very suitable for players who are looking for the fun of simultaneous operation and strategy.

Game Strategy:

1. Prop Priority Recommendation

  • Prioritize "Gloves": It can control the timing of ball launch and greatly improve stability;
  • Open the field of vision immediately after getting "Extend Paddle" to deal with multiple balls and dense bricks;
  • In the Boss (or bad character-dense level) stage, be sure to cooperate with "Missiles" and "Large Balls" to strengthen the output;
  • "Multi-Ball" can be used to quickly clear the field, but you need to control it carefully to avoid losing lives due to the fast speed of losing multiple balls.

2. Interference Character Response Skills

  • Sea Anemones will split the ball, be careful with the catching rhythm;
  • Octopus catches the ball from below, causing a delay, it is recommended to stay away from the central area;
  • Turtles move to generate new bricks, clear the path space immediately after landing;
  • Birds will hit the wall to create disturbance, clear them first;
  • Thor Warriors will release lightning after being hit, which can clear the walls and may also stun Mr. Chin, do not stand too close.

3. Level Progression Suggestions

  • The rhythm of the first 10 levels is slow, you can practice prop control and ball prediction;
  • In the mid-to-late stages, the levels are densely packed with bricks and debris, it is recommended to use the combination of "Large Ball + Missile" for concentrated bombardment;
  • The 30th level is the ultimate test, it is recommended to equip at least three large balls and missile reserves.

4. Multi-Ball Management Skills

  • When there are many balls, try to keep it within three balls to prevent confusion;
  • If only one ball is left, arrange to wait for the gloves to appear and regain control of the rhythm;
  • In the multi-ball state, it is recommended to output on one side to facilitate collecting props and reduce interference.

5. Multiplayer Battle Strategy

  • When two people are on the same screen, one person is responsible for controlling the gloves to catch the ball, and the other person is responsible for killing bad characters or dismantling bricks, which can greatly improve the efficiency of passing the level;
  • When competing for props, you can divide the work, one person catches the ball-release props, and the other person catches the benefit output to avoid waste.
