Game Details:

Power Instinct is a classic arcade 2D fighting game released by Atlus in 1993. The game's background revolves around the wealthy Goketsuji clan, who hold a brutal yet hilarious martial arts tournament every three years to select a new leader. Breaking away from the serious atmosphere of traditional fighting games, this title incorporates numerous "wacky" and absurd elements. Players can choose from eight base characters, the most famous being the two elderly sisters, Oume and Otane, who can rejuvenate themselves by sucking the life force from their opponents. Its dynamic soundtrack and unique stage destruction system made it a huge hit in arcades back in the day.

Game Strategy:

The core gameplay lies in flexibly utilizing double jumps and wall bounces to find openings to strike your opponent.

Character Recommendation: Choose "Oume Goketsuji," as she excels at mid-to-long-range zoning. Oume's core move list: Reiko-dan (Charge ↓, then ↑ + P; launches a flying head projectile), Ryuuseikyaku (In mid-air, ↓ + K; a rapid downward kick).

Pro Tip: When playing against the AI, use Oume's Reiko-dan for long-range pressure. If the AI jumps to avoid it, immediately follow up with Seisui (→↓↘ + P) for an anti-air interception.

The final boss, Reiji Oyama, is a formidable opponent. Avoid reckless attacks and focus on defensive counters; when he is stuck in recovery frames after a special move, use a close-range combo (Heavy Punch + Reiko-dan) to maximize damage. Mastering the "transformation" mechanic of specific moves can instantly turn the tide of battle.
