Pokémon Legends: Delta is a "Legends"-style fan-made ROM hack based on a deep reconstruction of the Pokémon Emerald engine.
《Pokémon Legends: Delta》 is an ambitious GBA ROM hack. The game completely rewrites the history of the Hoenn region; players are no longer modern Trainers challenging the eight Gyms, but pioneer explorers of the ancient Draconid people. To deal with the untamed, frenzied wild Pokémon of that era and to uncover the truth behind the "Delta Episode" involving a massive meteor strike, players must establish the very first Pokédex across the savage, ancient Hoenn continent. This title creatively simulates a "semi-open world" exploration experience on the GBA, introducing special ancient regional forms (Delta Forms) and perfectly integrating the modern Physical/Special split, Fairy-type, and the special Alpha Pokémon system.
The core gameplay revolves around "Ancient Wilderness Survival" and "Capturing and Countering Alpha Pokémon."
Adapt to Ancient Catching and Survival Mechanics: Given the ancient setting, some in-game supplies and Poké Balls must be obtained by gathering materials in the wild or completing missions for ancient tribes. In the early stages, it is recommended to prioritize leveling up near the starting ancient village. Massive "Alpha Pokémon" with glowing red eyes will randomly spawn in the wild; they possess extremely high IVs and moves beyond their level. Do not engage them blindly in the early game; it is advised to bypass them or use status moves to wear them down before attempting a capture. Once caught, they will become the absolute backbone of your team.
The Strategic Use of Delta Forms: While exploring the ruins of Meteor Falls or the dried-up Sea of Origin, players will encounter "Delta Forms" unique to this game. The types of these Pokémon have undergone radical changes (e.g., Grass-type Darumaka, Dragon/Steel-type Yanmega, etc.). When encountering these creatures, be sure to confirm their new Abilities first, as they often perfectly fill tactical needs for defensive tanks or primary wall-breakers in your team.
The Final Battle Against Ancient Legendaries and the Draconids: As the mid-to-late game plot involves the ancient rampages of Groudon and Kyogre, as well as the first Mega Evolution of Rayquaza, the main story Boss battles are exceptionally difficult. Enemies come with innate weather effects and stat boosts. A hardcore strategy for completion is as follows: your team must include one or two support Pokémon with powerful speed-control or field-control moves such as "Wide Guard," "Tailwind," or "Thunder Wave." Apply debuffs before the Boss unleashes high-power multi-target attacks, then have your core damage dealers exploit type advantages (such as using Fairy or Ice types to pressure the Great Dragons) for focused bursts. Only then can you quell the ancient disaster and write the Delta Legend.
