Game Details:

Pokémon Amethyst takes players into a brand-new world born entirely of fan creation. Moving completely away from the dated scripts of Kanto or Hoenn, the game features original towns, gyms, and villainous factions. Its visual style preserves the classic Generation III pixel aesthetic, but with softer architectural refinements and color palettes. Regarding game systems, it retains the pure essence of turn-based combat while moderately introducing Pokémon from later generations and quality-of-life tweaks like the Physical/Special split, aiming to provide an immersive experience akin to playing an "unreleased official GBA expansion."

Game Guide:

The core gameplay revolves around "exploring uncharted territories" and "utilizing the classic type effectiveness chain."

Clearance Tips:

Starters and Early Game: The game's starters have been carefully selected by the creator, typically possessing excellent base stats and type coverage. It is recommended to choose a Pokémon that evolves quickly in the early stages and can learn STAB multi-target or crowd-control moves early on. Since the distribution of wild Pokémon in this new region is completely unknown, you can spend some time on Route 1 and Route 2 during the opening phase to catch a high-speed Flying or Normal-type Pokémon to serve as a secondary attacker for early-game progression.

Talk to NPCs: As a traditional story-driven ROM hack, many key items (such as the Good Rod, Bicycle, and TMs) as well as rare Evolution Stones are not placed out in the open; instead, they require players to complete hidden requests from town NPCs. Visiting every house whenever you reach a new city often yields unexpected surprises.

Steady League Challenge: This title does not feature unfairly modified stats; as long as your levels keep up, you can smoothly clear the game by relying on classic type advantages. When challenging the Elite Four in the mid-to-late game, stock up on Full Restores and Full Heals at the shop in advance. Utilize classic defensive synergy rotations like "Fire-Water-Grass" and "Electric-Ground-Flying" to play it safe and secure the Amethyst League Championship crown.
