Game Details:

This title was one-of-a-kind in the arcades of its time. Its unique 45-degree isometric perspective not only provided excellent 3D visual effects but also brought a greater sense of space to the level design. Players must face off against hordes of orcs, trolls, and dragons, while also collecting various spellbooks to change their abilities. The game's magic system is highly distinctive; as the character picks up different items, the magic slot dynamically changes. This randomness demands exceptional on-the-fly adaptability from the player. Furthermore, the game supports two-player co-op, and the synergy between different class skills (such as the Knight's tanking and the Wizard's ranged burst damage) is key to clearing high-difficulty stages.

Game Guide:

  • Core Character Choices:
    • Knight: Highest defense and very forgiving, making him suitable for beginners. While his normal attack range is limited, he is very sturdy in a melee.
    • Wizard: Insane ranged damage output, but has very low health. Best for skilled veterans who can kite enemies by taking advantage of their range.
    • Ninja: Extremely fast with a unique attack speed, making him exceptionally effective against certain fast-moving bosses.
    • Bard: A balanced character who can provide unique support.
  • Strategic Spell Switching: Spell icons will continuously scroll at the bottom of the screen. Pressing the Attack + Jump buttons (or the dedicated magic button) will cast the spell corresponding to the current icon. Don't just cast them blindly! When facing large groups of mobs, prioritize area-of-effect (AoE) spells like 'Fireball' or 'Earthquake'. When fighting a boss, try to save spells with strong crowd control (CC) or high burst damage, such as 'Transform' or 'Petrify'.
  • Terrain and Positioning: Because of the 45-degree isometric view, it takes some getting used to judging where enemy attacks will land. It's recommended to use "diagonal pulling" movements to group enemies on one side of you instead of getting surrounded. Levels often contain traps; watch out for cracks or protrusions on the ground. Exploiting the friendly fire mechanic among enemies is also an advanced tactic.
  • Resource Management: Healing items are not very plentiful in the game, so in multiplayer, it's advisable to give them to the Knight who is tanking in melee. Additionally, picking up dropped treasure chests increases your score and can occasionally provide crucial magic buffs, so be sure to explore every nook and cranny.
